Filled bottles can be packed onto cardboard trays and shrink wrapped or we can place into cartons (wrap around). More recently we have installed a further 10 product storage tanks giving us an additional 2,500 barrels (400,000 litres) of capacity, a new filter, a new sanitising plant, new control systems, extra refrigeration capacity and a large warehouse for packaging materials. We have a large and diverse customer base and currently handle well over 100 different products. We are certified to BRC Global Standards.
Warehousing
We are able to offer long term warehousing facilities for our bottling customers. This is backed up by a cost effective arrangement with a local distribution company - who are able to deliver to retailer and distribution centres.
Kegging
A kegging line is available for the kegging of ales or lagers. Beers can be received ready to keg or we can carry out all the product preparation. We are also able to offer smooth beer with the use of nitrogen.
Cask Racking
We have one of the most modern and sophisticated cask racking (filling) lines in the United Kingdom. It is almost fully automated and consistently produces cask beer to the highest possible standards. Manual handling of full casks has been eliminated. Casks pass through two washing machines before filling. Filled casks are then stored in temperature controlled conditions.
Packaging Services
Our three packaging lines are backed by an experienced management team. Great emphasis is placed on the quality control of all products and processes. A dedicated, qualified and experienced team of quality control professionals monitor all proceedings, using our three well equipped laboratories.
Robinsons have set out to provide a first class packaging facility which caters not only for the larger volume products but also especially for 'niche' products that require very close attention and care. Based at Stockport, some seven miles South of Manchester, we are at the heart of Britain's motorway system.
Both brewery and packaging plants are within 1/2 mile of a motorway junction (M60, Manchester orbital), giving easy access to trunk motorways North, South, East and West.
